MEDTECH 
The core competencies in the Southern Region comprise sensor technology, chip and PCB technology, as well as the software and IT sectors in medical technology. An integral part is the know-how of existing universities, research institutions and companies in the fields of materials, manufacturing and process technology.

PHARMA & BIOTECH
The regional strengths of this sector lie in pharmaceutical and biotechnological processes, automation and production, and engineering and plant design. This thematic focus is completed by bioinformatics, big data analytics and biomarker research, which form the basis for the development of new pharmaceuticals.

Life Sciences im digitalen Wandel

Trotz – oder gerade wegen – des digitalen Wandels: Der Mensch steht in der Medizin nach wie vor im Mittelpunkt. Was das in der Praxis bedeutet, erfährt man bei einem groß angelegten THINK TANK am 2. April 2019.

Das ZWT lädt dazu gemeinsam mit Human.technology Styria, Know-Center und BioNanoNet ein. Hochrangige Experten erläutern den digitalen Wandel in den Life Sciences aus ihrem Blickwinkel – von der Pflege zu Hause über die Forschung bis hin zu Wirtschaft und Gesundheitswesen.

Der ZWT-Mieter MEON Medical Solutions produziert Tonometer für die Blutgasanalyse, das Weizer Start-up Joysys forscht an einem Blutdruckscreening. Beiden Unternehmen gemeinsam ist: Sie sind auf der Suche nach jungen Fachkräften und waren daher beim ersten Life-Science-Pitch in Graz am 6. März 2019 mit dabei.

100 Minuten, 100 Studierende und max. 10 Unternehmen – soweit die Fakten zum „Life Science Recruiting Pitch @ TU Graz“. Human.technology Styria hat dazu an die TU Graz geladen.
