CBmed is a leading clinical and biomedical research centre focusing on the implementation of translational medicine. CBmed bridges the gap between scientific discovery and patient care.

Founded in 2014, the centre has established itself as a leading institution for patient-oriented biomarker research in medicine by bringing researchers together with leading pharmaceutical, diagnostics, medical technology and IT companies. The non-profit research centre is owned by Med Uni Graz, Medical University of Vienna, University of Technology Graz , University of Graz, JOANNEUM RESEARCH Forschungsgesellschaft mbH and Austrian Institute of Technology. It helps to identify new biomarkers, validate biomarker candidates and carry out translational biomarker research for clinical application.
